Jessica MacKinnon, PhD is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist in Washington State. She is trained in psychological and forensic assessment and consultation with a specialty in child abuse reporting, parenting custody evaluations and trauma research. She is the owner of Blue Cedar Psychological Assessments, LLC which provides intensive psychotherapy, psychological assessments, consultation, and supervision/training hours for associate mental health professionals who are seeking clinical licensure.

Dr. MacKinnon’s training centered on inpatient hospitalization, crisis management, group psychotherapy, community behavioral health counseling and assessment, and psychological assessment and evaluation. As a clinical psychologist, Dr. MacKinnon is adept in mental health diagnosis, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, diagnostic psychological assessment, supervision and case consultation. As a forensic psychologist, Dr. MacKinnon has specialized training in the interaction between psychology and the legal system.

Dr. MacKinnon earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with a forensic emphasis from Alliant International University. She received specialized training in personality, cognitive, and neurological testing/assessment, psychological report scoring and interpretation, and report writing. Dr. MacKinnon completed her first internship in an inpatient and intensive outpatient setting treating adults through individual and group therapy. Psychological testing for clarity of diagnosis and to assess those wanting to adopt children were completed. Her second internship was completing parenting custody evaluations for family court.

Our Mission

BCPA's mission is to increase knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses to improve ones' life circumstances. In addition, BCPA is driven to improve accessibility of high-quality therapy and full psychological evaluations.
